Overview

RHS Summer School

 

Attendance Policy:

  • Mandatory Attendance:
    • Students are expected to attend every scheduled session until they have completed their required coursework.
  • Unexcused Absences:
    • If a student misses two sessions for reasons that are not excused, they will be unenrolled from the summer school program.
  • Excused Absences:
    • Excused absences must be communicated in advance and accompanied by appropriate documentation (e.g., medical notes, family emergencies).

Unenrollment and Credit Recovery Options:

  • Students unenrolled due to unexcused absences must work with their school counselor to create a plan to recover the necessary credits. Options may include:
    • In-School Credit Recovery Program
    • Night School Credit Recovery Program

Expectations and Responsibilities:

  • Punctuality: Students must arrive on time for each session.

  • Engagement: Active participation and completion of assignments are required to meet credit recovery goals.

  • Communication: Students and families must proactively communicate with staff regarding attendance or other concerns.
