NWSC Music Festival/Digital Day - No In Person Classes on February 3, 2025

  • We are excited to announce that Rogers High School will host the 2025 Northwest Suburban Conference (NWSC) Music Festival on Sunday, February 2nd, and Monday, February 3rd. This prestigious event will showcase our conference's talented music students and provide them with a remarkable opportunity to excel in music performance, engage in meaningful listening experiences, and celebrate their artistic achievements alongside fellow student musicians.
  • **Important Note:** In order to accommodate the festival and ensure a smooth experience for all participants, Monday, February 3rd, will be designated as a digital learning day for all students at RHS. Our school will serve as a central hub for festival activities, necessitating this adjustment.
  • On Sunday, February 2nd, guest conductors will lead the All-Conference band, choir, and orchestra ensembles. Following an intensive day of rehearsals, these ensembles will present a Grand Finale Concert on Sunday evening in the RHS Fieldhouse. The Northwest Suburban Conference Music Festival has a proud legacy of featuring distinguished musicians and music educators, and we are thrilled to welcome nationally recognized conductors who will guide our students and provide invaluable feedback.
  • Further details regarding the logistics of the digital learning day will be shared as we approach the event. Teachers will be available on-site to support students with their digital learning activities and supervise the music festival during this time.
  • Tickets for this event may be purchased here: GoFan Online Ticket Sales – Rogers High School
  • We look forward to hosting this incredible event and are confident that it will inspire our students and community. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Sheds for Sale!

Out of Storage Space? Let the RHS Construction students help you!

  • The RHS Construction program is building sheds for sale.  Our sheds come in two sizes: 10’ wide x 12’ deep OR 10’ wide x 16’ deep and walls are 8’ high to give you ample storage space.  Each shed built will include a 6' x 7' white roll-up metal garage door, architectural roof shingles, textured LP Smartboard Siding® & Trim that will allow you to paint any color you choose. The soffit and fascia will be built from aluminum products. Window options are available. This means you have ample light and a door large enough for your riding lawnmower, patio furniture, and other seasonal items.
  • New shed construction will begin in late January/early February 2025 at the start of our Construction course.
  • If you are interested in a shed, please contact us at RHS for more information. Please email Dirk Udee, RHS Construction Instructor, at Dirk.Udee@ISD728.org.
  • Space is limited to one shed. First come, first served. The cost is dependent upon current market conditions and transportation of the complete shed to your location is not included in the price. There is no charge for labor as this is a student project.

Thank you for supporting the RHS Construction program and our RHS Construction Students!

Technology

Safety & Internet Filtering at Home

ISD 728 Chromebooks will continue to have filtering to help protect students against harmful and inappropriate online material. Despite the District’s attempt to filter and provide additional protections outside of school, parents/guardians still play an important role in supervising their child's internet access and usage. Parents are encouraged to discuss rules for appropriate internet usage, and reinforce lessons of digital citizenship and safety. Please review our technology responsible use guidelines and visit www.isd728.org/Digital-Health-Wellness to learn more about available parent resources.

  • Visit here for more information about what is filtered.
  • Visit GoGuardian Parent App for information on how parents and guardians can monitor their children's Chromebook browsing activity, and choose to block sites such as YouTube.
