Counseling Office Summer Hours
Counselors are available by appointment only through June 20th. The Counseling Office will be closed from June 20th until August 11th. Counselors will respond to emails and voicemails upon their return in mid August.
Staff Retirement
Congratulations to our Health Services Assistant, Missy Abrahamson, who is retiring from RHS after 20 years. We wish her a happy retirement filled with relaxation and time spent with her grandson. She will be greatly missed!
Please welcome Amanda Stone, who has been with our school for many years, and will be our new Health Services Assistant!
2025 - 2026 National Honor Society
Interested in Joining NHS?
The National Honor Society (NHS) application for the 2025–2026 school year will open in August and will be available on the NHS page of the RHS website, found HERE. Please note an important change from previous years: eligible students will not receive an invitation by mail.
All rising 10th–12th grade students who meet the academic and service requirements are encouraged to apply. For information on eligibility, deadlines, and how to apply, visit the NHS website.

Parking Reminders
Parking reminders:
- sophomores who drive to school must have purchased a permit AND are required to park at the middle school
- all students parking at Rogers High School are required to have a permit and can park in designated spots only; do NOT park in visitor spaces, handicapped spaces, along curbs, or at the RAC. Students parked in non-designated spaces are subject to a ticket and having their vehicle booted.
- Students who arrive late to school may have trouble finding an open space at RHS. In these instances, students should park at RMS

Deca
Three students from Rogers High School achieved an outstanding accomplishment at the International Career Development Conference, earning a 1st place glass trophy in Orlando, Florida. Alexis Derichs, Allison Mauss, and Parker Moen were recognized for their exceptional work on their Career Development “Job Olympics” Project. Representing Rogers DECA with pride, the trio demonstrated strong collaboration, innovation, and professionalism. Their project stood out among thousands of entries from across the globe, earning them top honors and bringing national recognition to our school and community.
The Job Olympics themed project included a written 20 page paper and 15 minute presentation. They met with 5th grade classes in ISD 728 starting in September to teach job related skills through career investigative lessons.

Notify us that your student(s) is ill, or for student(s) upcoming appointments, vacations, sporting events, or other special events
- To report your student(s) ill, or to notify us of upcoming appointments, vacations, sporting events, or other special events, please visit your Campus Parent Portal. You can also call the Attendance Line: 763-241-3555; press 3 for Rogers; press 3 for Rogers High School. Please include the following:
- Student Name
- Student Grade
- Reason for absence/release
- Time of release/Length of Absence
- Caller information
- Students arriving late should scan into the office in order to have their attendance updated
If you receive an automated call saying your student was marked absent from school or class, please check your Parent Portal for more details on the absence. If your student feels they were marked absent in error, please clarify it with their teacher.

End of the 2024-2025 School Year: Medications
All medication located in the RHS Health Office will be sent home with students unless a parent notifies us otherwise. Please contact Missy Abrahamson or Lora Benson if you would like to make other arrangements.
2025-26 School Year: Sports Physicals & Immunizations
In preparing for the 2025-2026 school year, it is important to complete the appropriate medical information for your child as soon as possible. Immunization and sport physical dates that the school has received for your child are posted on Parent Portal. Immunization requirements reflect the current school year only. Parent Portal will change over to the 2025-2026 school year on July 1st.
Please note: Meningococcal booster (MenACWY) is required for 12th graders (The booster dose is given on or after age 16).

COUNSELING OFFICE SUMMER HOURS
Counselors are available by appointment only through June 20th. The Counseling Office will be closed from June 20th until August 11th. Counselors will respond to emails and voicemails upon their return in mid August.
Counselors will register students who need to enroll in Summer School. Please reach out with questions. Classes will be offered in the following core areas:
- English
- Social Studies
- Science
Program Dates and Schedule:
- Dates: June 12, 2025 through June 27, 2025
- Session One: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
- Session Two: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Students will meet for a total of 11 days.
- Summer School will NOT be in session on June 19, 2025
- ISD 728 High School Graduation Requirements
Class of 2025 - Request Final RHS Transcript
Post-secondary institutions require a copy of your final transcript as proof of graduation before you can officially enroll in their institution. Make sure to request your final transcript via Parchment and select “Hold for Grades” if requesting before June 4, 2025, when final grades are posted.

ADD/DROP POLICY for Schedule Corrections:
Schedule Corrections: A great deal of time and effort goes into the construction of a student’s schedule. Completed schedules will be available on Campus/Parent Portal in mid August. Schedule changes will not generally be made after school begins.
Schedule changes may only be made for the following reasons:
- Computer error
- Teacher recommendation
- Medical reason
- Inappropriate placement or setting
Schedule changes will NOT be made for the following requests:
- Different teacher
- Different lunch time
- Different hour
- Different elective
***New Process: Schedule Corrections***
- Student submits Google Form
- *Counselor reviews request based on district criteria for schedule changes.
- If criteria is met, change is made.
- Student checks their schedule for any updates.
- Counselor contacts student via email if further information is needed.
Students can meet with counselors on a walk-in basis about schedule corrections on the following dates:
- Tuesday, August 19th 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
- Wednesday, August 20th 12:00-3:00 pm
- Wednesday, August 27th 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Students will not be able to request corrections after Wednesday, August 27th. Schedules will be final at that point.
PSEO
Reminder that May 30 was the deadline to notify your counselor if you/your student intends to enroll in PSEO for Fall 2025.
Students who applied for PSEO for the 25-26 school year need to inform their RHS counselor of the classes they are taking through PSEO as soon as possible. It is the responsibility of the student to communicate this information so their RHS schedule is accurate.
Counselors are unavailable after June 20th and will be back in the office on August 11th.

Students will participate in a variety of hands-on activities in the health care and medical field. Students spend 2 days at Anoka Tech and the third day is a field trip to industry partner sites.

PSAT: Optional Test for Class of 2027

The PSAT will be offered on October 29, 2025 at ERHS during the school day for any interested juniors (Class of 2027). Interested sophomores (Class of 2028) may also register for the PSAT for practice.

10th-graders

- Explore colleges with 800+ lists: Curious about what colleges have to offer? Use this fun online, searchable database from CollegeXpress, which covers everything from academic environments to school spirit.
- Social media cleanup: This is a good time to clean up your social media profiles. If you have any questionable photos or language, delete them now before you start your college search in earnest.
11th-graders
- How to Create a College List (with tracking spreadsheet): Prepare to finalize your college list. Once you do, create a second spreadsheet with deadlines for applications, and scholarships, number of required recommendations, testing policies, etc.
- Things Students of Color Should Know When Applying to College: Listen to this solid advice spanning the college search, financial aid, and how to advocate for yourself in the process.
- Tips for Planning a College Visit: Make a plan to visit a couple schools based on your college research, if you’re able. If getting to the campuses isn’t possible, learn as much as you can online via virtual information sessions.
- How to write a successful Common App Activities List/How to write a college resume: Learn more about these pieces of the application process.
- If you’ve excelled academically despite financial challenges, consider applying to QuestBridge or the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship Program, and check in with your counselor on the Posse Foundation nomination process.
- Create a spreadsheet of all usernames and passwords: Keep important login information here for college applications, applicant portals, and scholarships.
12th-graders
- Study tips in college (from Harvard): You’ll soon be sitting in your first college class, so take the time to read up on some suggestions on time management, testing, and study skills.

All students participating in sports need a sports physical on file with the school.
Updated sports physicals are required every 3 years.
Sports physical on file can be verified on the parent portal (students name, health tab).
