Rogers High School Parking Permit Information – 2025–2026

As we begin the new school year, parking permits will initially be available only to senior and junior students. This phased approach helps us ensure that all students parking on campus have secured a paid parking permit.

We are happy to share that parking permits will be available for purchase by sophomores beginning Monday, September 15. At that time, any remaining permits will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note that students must have all school fees paid before they are eligible to purchase a parking permit. Vehicles parked in RHS lots without a valid permit are subject to citation or immobilization.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to maintain a safe and organized parking system for all students.

Interested in Joining NHS?

The National Honor Society (NHS) application for the 2025–2026 school year will open August 18 and will be available on the NHS page of the RHS website, found HERE.  Please note an important change from previous years: eligible students will not receive an invitation by mail.

Cell Phones

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we wanted to remind everyone about our cell phone policy, which was implemented last year to support a more focused and engaging learning environment. This limited-access cell phone plan has helped foster greater student success, and we're excited to continue it this fall.

Under this policy:

- Cell phones and personal technology are not permitted in the classroom during instructional time. This helps minimize distractions and promotes active participation in lessons.

- Students are expected to place their cell phones and personal technology in the classroom-mounted phone storage sleeves for the duration of class.

- Cell phones are permitted during lunch, passing periods, and before or after the instructional day.

By adhering to this policy, students experience several key benefits, including:

- Improved Focus and Academic Performance: Without the constant pull of notifications, students can concentrate better on lessons, leading to deeper understanding and higher achievement.

- Enhanced Classroom Engagement: More opportunities for meaningful interactions with teachers and peers, building stronger relationships and collaborative skills.

- Better Mental Health and Well-Being: Reduced screen time during class helps lower stress from social media and multitasking, allowing for more mindful presence and balance.

- Preparation for Real-World Success: Developing self-discipline around technology use equips students with essential habits for future careers and personal growth.

We appreciate your continued support in upholding this policy, as it plays a vital role in creating a productive space for all.

Did you know parents can turn off cell phone access during the school day?  You are encouraged to review the settings on your child's cell phone or contact your carrier to find out how to prohibit your child from accessing content between 7:30 and 2:10.  Eliminating this barrier to academic success may significantly impact your child's learning and well-being!
