ISD 728 Transportation

ISD 728 Transportation is working to prepare bus routes for the 2026-2027 school year.  If your student falls under one of the criteria listed below, you MUST submit a transportation request through this online process by June 30, 2026. Once logged in the Campus Parent Portal, the survey is located under ‘Message Center’ and then ‘Surveys.’ One survey per student should be completed.

  • Grade 11 or 12: A Student Transportation Request Survey in Campus Parent Portal is required for any 11th or 12th grade student that wishes to ride the bus. The request must be completed by June 30, 2026 to ensure it is ready for the first day of school.

  • Open-Enrolled: Students who are open-enrolled into non-magnet programs, but attending an ISD 728 school, must complete a Student Transportation Request Survey in Campus Parent Portal to be assigned to bus routes. Bus stop locations are determined by space available on district buses, not necessarily by the distance to your home, and will be located within the school boundary of attendance, if available. Families will be required to transport the student to and from the bus stop location as not all locations will be within walking distance.

  • Magnet Student: Students who live inside the ISD 728 District boundary and attend Rogers Elementary or Salk Middle School, must complete a Student Transportation Request Survey in Campus Parent Portal to be assigned to bus routes.
    • Students who live outside of the ISD 728 District boundary and within the approved Northwest Suburban Integration School Districts (NWSISD), will be assigned to busing based on information that was collected during the registration process. Please contact your school if your address changes or you have not requested busing for the school year.

  • Alternate Locations (i.e. Daycare, Second Household): Families will continue to be given the option to request an alternative stop location, such as a daycare or second household, providing it results in one consistent morning and afternoon bus assignment per student. Students cannot be assigned to multiple routes and changes during the school year require a new form.
Daycare locations must be within the district/school boundary of attendance and outside the walk zone. If your student is attending EdVenture Club and will not require transportation, please let us know so they can be removed from busing.

For second households, the address must meet eligibility guidelines and replaces the primary address.

  • Does NOT need bus transportation: A parent should complete the Student Transportation Request Survey in Campus Parent Portal to remove their student completely from transportation. To resume using District transportation in the future, a new Student Transportation Request Survey must be submitted to be added to the bus routes.

If you have already completed a Student Transportation Request Survey for next school year, nothing further is needed. See isd728.org/transportation for details.

Attendance Reminders

A reminder that as the weather warms, RHS does not have an open campus.  Students who are scheduled to be here for in person classes or lunch are not allowed to leave to go to their cars, coffee shops, restaurants or home.

Please plan ahead for your student's appointments/early dismissals.  It is important to communicate with your student when they are to leave. While we understand that last minute needs do arise, we try to minimize interrupting class time.  Students that are leaving for appointments during the day will not receive a pass, it will be updated in their attendance.

PSEO and online students ARE allowed to leave the building during times they do not have in-person classes or lunch. If choosing to remain on campus, they need to remain in the Media Center

For more information on how to use Parent Portal, please visit our district website, under Parent Portal

Rogers DECA

Did you know that we have a school store?  The Rogers One-Stop DECA Shoppe is open during lunch, and also has an online store!

ADD/DROP POLICY for Schedule Corrections:

Schedule Corrections: A great deal of time and effort goes into the construction of a student’s schedule.  Completed schedules will be available on Campus/Parent Portal on August 19.  Schedule changes will not generally be made after school begins.

Schedule changes may only be made for the following reasons:

  • Computer error
  • Teacher recommendation
  • Medical reason
  • Inappropriate placement or setting

Schedule changes will NOT be made for the following requests:

  • Different teacher
  • Different lunch time
  • Different hour
  • Different elective

***Process for Schedule Corrections***

  1. Student submits Schedule Correction Request Form 26/27
  2. Counselor reviews requests based on district criteria for schedule changes.
  3. If criteria is met, change is made.
  4. Students check their schedule for any updates.
  5. Counselor contacts students via email if further information is needed.

Students will not be able to request corrections after Wednesday, August 26th. Schedules will be final at that point.

PSEO

Remember that May 30 was the deadline to notify your counselor if you/your student intends to enroll in PSEO for Fall 2026.  The next deadline to enroll for PSEO for 2nd semester is October 30, 2026.

Students who applied for PSEO for the 26-27 school year need to inform their RHS counselor of the classes they are taking through PSEO as soon as possible.  It is the responsibility of the student to communicate this information so their RHS schedule is accurate.

Counselors are unavailable after June 18th and will return mid August.

Access PSEO resources here:

Safety & Internet Filtering at Home

ISD 728 Chromebooks will continue to have filtering to help protect students against harmful and inappropriate online material. Despite the District’s attempt to filter and provide additional protections outside of school, parents/guardians still play an important role in supervising their child's internet access and usage. Parents are encouraged to discuss rules for appropriate internet usage, and reinforce lessons of digital citizenship and safety. Please review our technology responsible use guidelines and visit www.isd728.org/Digital-Health-Wellness to learn more about available parent resources.

  • Visit here for more information about what is filtered.
  • Visit GoGuardian Parent App for information on how parents and guardians can monitor their children's Chromebook browsing activity, and choose to block sites such as YouTube.
