Attendance Reminders
Please plan ahead for your student's appointments/early dismissals. It is important to communicate with your student when they are to leave. While we understand that last minute needs do arise, we try to minimize interrupting class time. Students that are leaving for appointments during the day will not receive a pass, it will be updated in their attendance.
RHS does not have an open campus. Students who are scheduled to be here for in person classes or lunch are not allowed to leave to go to their cars, coffee shops, restaurants or home.
PSEO and online students ARE allowed to leave the building during times they do not have in-person classes or lunch. If choosing to remain on campus, they need to remain in the Media Center

Advanced Placement Exam Registration 2025-2026
This year’s AP Exams will be held from May 4-15, 2026 at Rogers High School. AP Exams will cost $64 each this year. Students must register by October 27, 2025 to avoid incurring an additional $40 late fee. (This does not include courses that meet only during the spring semester, which have a final registration date of March 1, 2026.) Students who register can cancel their exam registration before March 1, 2026. However, all canceled exams incur a $40 Unused Exam Fee.
There are two steps to AP exam registration:
- Complete the first registration step by creating a College Board account online and enrolling in the correct course section using the correct join code. Most students have already completed this step with their teacher. (Complete this step by September 30, 2025.)
- Complete the second registration step by paying the assigned exam fee through the Fees tab on Infinite Campus or by having the exam fees waived by contacting Jessica Zoubek (jessica.zoubek@isd728.org) in the office and confirming eligibility for free/reduced lunch. (Complete this step by October 27, 2025.)
Both steps must be completed for each AP exam before the deadline in order to register.
Students with an IEP or 504 Plan will be contacted by their case manager to request any necessary testing accommodations. Please contact Anne Bartus (anne.bartus@isd728.org), SSD Coordinator, with any questions about accommodations.
Please email the AP Coordinator, Clare Murr (clare.murr@isd728.org), with questions regarding AP exams at RHS.
National Honors Society
Attention NHS Applicants & Families: Acceptance and non-acceptance letters will be sent to students via school email by October 1. Students who are accepted must confirm receipt of their acceptance by October 6. The induction ceremony for new NHS members and their families will be held in the PAC on October 13 at 7 PM. Additional details will be included in the student email. Please contact Mrs. Shermock with any questions.

Media Center
MEDIA CENTER NEWS
At Rogers High School, library books are due four times each year, aligned with the district’s quarter calendar. Due dates fall in mid-October, mid-December, mid-March, and mid-May. Students are responsible for returning or renewing their books on time. Reminder notices are sent through Schoology and email in the days leading up to each due date.
Communication about library books is directed primarily to the student. If a book is lost, damaged, or overdue, we expect students to share this information with their parents or guardians.
Books that are more than two weeks overdue are considered lost. At that point, media staff will enter the replacement cost into Campus under the “Fees” tab.
September Fun: Childhood book trivia
In September, the media center held a competitive trivia competition. Students worked in teams to answer trivia questions about the books they read as kids. It was fun to hear students react each time they saw a cover or a character they loved. The winning team pulled away with 17 correct answers!

Community Service: Lunch bags and placemats
In our makerspace, students worked to decorate lunch bags for Meals on Wheels and placemats to be donated to the Welstead in Rogers.
DISPLAYS: Stop in the media center to learn/read from the displays. Check out a great book!

Despite the District’s attempt to filter and provide additional protections outside of school, parents/guardians still play an important role in supervising their child's internet access and usage. Parents are encouraged to discuss rules for appropriate internet usage, and reinforce lessons of digital citizenship and safety. Please review our technology responsible use guidelines and visit www.isd728.org/Digital-
