The Scholastic Art Awards program is the nation's oldest and most prestigious student arts competition, running annually for 100 plus years, since 1923. Dozens of ISD 728 students earned recognition from this national organization.

Students recognized as leaders from Rogers Elementary, Rogers Middle, and Rogers High schools were joined by their school and district staff for this event, as well as family and friends.

Clubs Rogers High, Rogers Middle and Prairie View Middle used a special program this Black History month to honor students, staff and one special District award-winner for embodying what it means to lead with kindness, courage and making sure students and peers feel respected and included. It's the second year for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Awards at each of these schools.

Rogers High DECA students have started a new, teen-run organization that wants kids to vow to not participate in distracted driving. It's working.

At its regular Board Meeting in early January, the ISD 728 School Board took time to honor and present certificates to student leaders from around the District, continuing a time-honored tradition.
